It is our aim at Wellacre to provide a friendly and secure environment, a caring atmosphere, in which all our pupils are given the opportunity to develop their academic studies, creative talents and leisure interests to their full potential.

The education of our pupils is a continuous dialogue between parents and school, and we depend absolutely on everyone's support. Our Form Tutors and Learning Directors are always happy to assist you or answer any queries you may have. Please do not hesitate to get in touch. We also welcome visitors who are interested in our work and who would like to see the school in action during a normal day.

Les Miserables DVD

The much anticipated DVD of Les Miserables is now available to buy for the price of £5. The joint production between Wellacre Academy and Flixton Girls has been heralded as "the best show to date" by audiences, that witnessed the production over the 3 nights. STEGTA Training centre opens in Wellacre 6th Form

Salford and Trafford Engineering Group Training Association Chief Executive John Whitby formally opened their training centre based in Wellacres 6th Form on Thursday 15th December.  STEGTA have worked closely with the Wellacre over a number of years developing engineering opportunities for its learners.

Wellacre Christmas STEM lecture

This year’s Christmas STEM lecture was given by Jürgen Maier, Siemens Managing Director, Industry Sector who gave a fantastic presentation to our STEM leaders and engineering and construction students.  It was a great opportunity for our students to hear from a leader of engineering innovation face to face.  Jürgen’s presentation gave our students an insight into the value of a career in the engineering and the potential routes into further study in the
